Includes surgical implantation of an FDA-approved VNS device under the skin in the upper left chest during an outpatient procedure, followed by in-clinic physical therapy paired with wireless VNS stimulation after a one-week recovery period. Patients may also activate VNS at home during rehabilitation exercises and routine activities. Intended for chronic ischemic stroke survivors with persistent moderate to severe hand and arm impairment who have participated in physical therapy.
