Details.
A stroke rehabilitation service combining an implanted vagus nerve stimulation device with in-clinic physical therapy to improve upper limb function. The device is implanted during an outpatient procedure, followed by a one-week recovery period and continued physical therapy. At-home therapy may include using a magnet activator during rehabilitation exercises and routine activities. Intended for chronic ischemic stroke survivors with persistent moderate to severe hand and arm impairment after active physical therapy. Surgery and rehabilitation are covered through most insurances.
