A neurostimulation device used with in-clinic physical therapy to improve upper limb function for stroke survivors who have not regained hand and arm mobility after active rehabilitation therapy, including survivors whose stroke occurred months or years ago. The service includes outpatient surgical implantation of the VNS device, in-clinic physical therapy paired with device stimulation after a one-week recovery period, and magnet-activated VNS during at-home rehabilitation exercises and routine activities. Vagus nerve stimulation surgery and rehabilitation is covered through most insurances.
