A neurostimulation therapy for chronic ischemic stroke survivors with persistent moderate to severe hand and arm impairment after active physical therapy. The service includes outpatient surgical implantation of a VNS device, followed by in-clinic physical therapy with paired VNS stimulation after a one-week recovery period, plus magnet-activated VNS for at-home rehabilitation exercises and routine activities. Surgery and rehabilitation are covered through most insurances. A consultation is required to determine suitability.
