A neurostimulation service for chronic ischemic stroke survivors with persistent moderate to severe hand and arm impairment. The VNS device is surgically implanted during an outpatient procedure, followed by in-clinic physical therapy using wireless stimulation during specific tasks. After recovery, patients can also activate VNS with a magnet during rehabilitation exercises and routine activities at home. The surgery and rehabilitation are covered through most insurances.
