Sacral hysteropexy for uterine prolapse, suspending the uterus to the sacral promontory using mesh. Offered for women requesting to preserve the uterus for fertility reasons or otherwise. Uterine preservation is not recommended when there is suspected uterine pathology or when the uterus is large and heavy. The procedure is performed through keyhole or robotic surgery and may be combined with other procedures.
