Details.
An ultrasound scanner is used to identify the cause of pain and guide injections to the precise location. Available injections include corticosteroids, hyaluronic acid and Arthrosamid. Corticosteroids may be suitable for inflamed joints, tendon sheaths and chronic joint pain conditions. Hyaluronic acid may be suitable for joint pain not responding to conservative treatment. Arthrosamid is a hydrogel injection for knee arthritis and should accompany a structured rehabilitation strengthening plan. An assessment and discussion is recommended to determine whether the treatment is suitable.
