Abdominal ultrasound performed by the veterinarians to view organs using sound waves. It can be used during pregnancy to check whether puppies or kittens have beating hearts, to investigate abnormalities in the kidneys, liver, intestines and bladder, to investigate chronic bladder issues, and to help aspirate cells from abnormal tissue for cytologic examination.
