An appointment with the practice nurse to discuss vaccinations needed for travel, based on the destination. The initial appointment should be made at least eight weeks before travel so vaccines can be ordered. A second appointment is required to receive the vaccinations and should take place at least two weeks before travel. Some travel vaccines are provided on a private prescription and cost more than the standard NHS prescription charge.
