Details.
An internal ultrasound examination, also known as a TV or internal scan, used to provide clearer images of some pelvic structures. It is usually performed immediately after a transabdominal ultrasound assessment, with an emptied bladder. The examination is performed with your consent, and you may withdraw consent at any time. You may insert the transducer yourself if preferred and have a support person present. Please tell the sonographer about any latex allergy or concerns during the assessment. Some women may experience a small amount of spotting afterwards due to contact with the cervix.
