Details.
A less invasive mitral valve repair procedure using a catheter-based MitraClip device to secure the mitral valve leaflets and reduce blood leakage. The procedure is performed through a small incision in the groin and is intended for eligible patients with severe degenerative mitral regurgitation who are at high risk for conventional heart surgery. Advanced imaging techniques are used to assess candidacy and monitor progress. The procedure typically takes one to three hours, or longer depending on case complexity.
