A less invasive mitral valve repair procedure for eligible patients with severe mitral regurgitation, including patients at high risk for conventional heart surgery. The MitraClip device is implanted through a small incision in the groin. Sophisticated imaging techniques, including three-dimensional transesophageal echocardiography, are used to select candidates and monitor progress.
