A less invasive treatment for selected patients with severe degenerative mitral regurgitation who are at high risk for conventional heart surgery. The procedure uses a MitraClip device to join the mitral valve leaflets and is performed through a small incision in the groin. Advanced imaging techniques are used to assess candidacy and monitor progress after implantation.
