Details.
A less invasive mitral valve repair procedure in which a MitraClip device is implanted through a small incision in the groin to join the mitral valve leaflets and reduce leakage. Patient selection uses sophisticated imaging techniques, including three-dimensional transesophageal echocardiography, to assess valve anatomy and suitability. Intended for eligible patients with significant mitral regurgitation, including those at high risk for conventional surgery.
