Custom whitening trays are made for comfort. Prescribed whitening gel is placed inside the trays and worn for the prescribed amount of time, repeated for up to two weeks. Existing composite fillings and porcelain will not change colour and may require replacement after whitening. A top-up may be required in three to five years depending on consumption of staining food and drinks.
