Details.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is a safe, effective, non-invasive, non-systemic neuromodulation treatment for treatment-refractory depression and other mood and anxiety disorders. Treatment sessions typically last about 20 minutes, are delivered Monday through Friday, five times per week for six weeks, and are often followed by a three-week taper period. Patients generally complete about 36 treatments over nine weeks. Earplugs are provided for the clicking sound, and mild to moderate scalp discomfort may typically be managed with over-the-counter pain medicine. Treatment is available for Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Auditory Hallucinations, Chronic Pain, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Fibromyalgia, and Tinnitus.
