An English Literature course examining how writers have imagined the British stately home across literary genres, including works by Agatha Christie and Kazuo Ishiguro. Teaching includes a seminar, guest lecture and small-group tutorials, with assessment through essays and a personal reflection on a stately home visit. Supplementary activities include a visit to a stately home in Oxfordshire and travel to London to watch Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap.
