A teen mentoring program in which teens with and without Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnoses work together to mentor younger children on the autism spectrum. The program runs from September through May and hosts monthly social, recreational, and community service events. Mentors participate in training on mentoring, leadership, goal setting, and planning for the future. Mentors are typically high school students ages 14 to 21, and mentees are typically children ages 9 to 13 with an autism diagnosis. Participants cannot require 1:1 staffing or engage in aggressive or self-injurious behavior. The 2025 to 2026 program year is at capacity, with waitlist applications accepted.
