A teen mentoring program for adolescents with and without Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnoses to mentor younger children on the autism spectrum. The program runs from September through May, with monthly social, recreational, and community service events. Mentors participate in training on mentoring, leadership, goal setting, and planning for the future. Typically suited to high school adolescents ages 14 to 21 as mentors and children ages 9 to 13 with autism as mentees. Participants cannot require 1:1 staffing or engage in aggressive or self-injurious behavior.
