A teen mentoring program for adolescents ages 14 to 21, with or without an autism diagnosis, who mentor younger children on the autism spectrum. The program runs from September through May and includes monthly social, recreational, and community service activities, plus training and workshops on mentoring, leadership, goal setting, and future planning. Mentors should be able to communicate clearly, provide support independently or with minimal adult support, and attend trainings. The program also serves mentees ages 9 to 13 with autism who would benefit from peer role models and group activities. Participants cannot require 1:1 staffing or engage in aggressive or self-injurious behavior. The 2025 to 2026 program year is at capacity, with waitlist applications accepted.
