A teen mentoring program for adolescents typically ages 14 to 21, with or without an autism diagnosis, who mentor younger children on the autism spectrum. The program runs from September through May, includes monthly social, recreational, and community service events, and provides training in mentoring, leadership, goal setting, and future planning. Mentors should be able to communicate clearly, provide support independently or with minimal adult support, and attend trainings and workshops. Participants cannot require 1:1 staffing or engage in aggressive or self-injurious behavior.
