Sector-based Work Academy Programme for eligible jobseekers claiming Universal Credit, Jobseeker’s Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance. The programme generally lasts up to six weeks and includes pre-employment vocational training, confidence building, interview techniques and practice, work experience with an employer in the hospitality industry, and a guaranteed job interview on completion of the pre-employment training. Participants continue to receive benefits and may be able to get help with public transport or appropriate childcare costs.
