Nonsurgical treatment that delivers a single dose or a series of 3 to 5 high-dose radiation treatments to shrink an acoustic neuroma or stop it from growing while preserving surrounding nerves and brain tissue. Typically an outpatient procedure with little downtime. Follow-up imaging is required.
