Shockwave Therapy

at Active Foot Care Podiatry · Sydney

Details.

A non-invasive treatment for chronic conditions including plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinosis and other persistent tendon issues. Sessions involve applying a handpiece to the affected area to deliver shockwaves deep into the tissue, with intensity adjusted to the injury and patient feedback. Treatment is generally painless and does not require local anaesthesia or numbing creams. Tenderness, soreness or swelling may occur for a few days afterwards. Typically, 3 to 6 sessions are needed for plantar fasciitis or Achilles tendinitis or tendinosis, although a single treatment may provide benefits.
