A technique offered to patients undergoing skin or nipple sparing mastectomy with reconstruction. Preserving sensation in the skin or nipple depends on patient anatomy. For patients having reconstruction using their own tummy tissue with a DIEP flap, A/Prof Mak works with Dr Joe Dusseldorp at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse to try to regain sensation to the tummy skin.
