A foot template is taken to select and modify the correct orthotic size. Devices are adjusted according to the prescription and covered with suitable material. They may require modifications because left and right feet are not identical, and modification fees may apply. Often used successfully with growing children, these devices may need replacement every 12 to 18 months or as the feet grow. Laboratory manufacture usually takes around 5 working days.
