Paediatric therapists can visit mainstream or special schools with consent from the family and school. Visits may include attending a school meeting, providing therapy on site, collaborating with teachers, aides or therapists, reviewing the classroom setup to optimise physical functioning and safety, advising on physical handling, discussing progress and translating skills into the school environment, conducting assessments to support funding applications, assisting with equipment prescription trials, providing a second opinion, and building school staff capacity to support the child.
