Treatment for infection or inflammation within the tooth nerve chambers. The procedure removes the infected or inflamed nerve tissue, cleans and shapes the tooth roots, irrigates and dries the root, and seals it with filling material. A crown may also be placed if the tooth has been heavily decayed. Treatment is performed under local anaesthetic and may require one or two visits. Follow-up visits may be recommended during recovery.
