Hip replacement surgery using the MAKO robotic system. Prior to the operation, a CT scan and special X-rays are organised to create a personalised virtual 3D model and surgical plan based on the patient's anatomy. The robotic arm assists with bone resection and implant placement, while the surgeon remains in control. Dr Balendra has performed robotic hip replacements since 2019.
