Details.
Licensed mechanic inspection for passenger vehicles, four-wheel drives and small trucks. Includes checks of seats and seat belts, exhaust and emissions, wheels and tyres, steering, suspension and braking systems, lamps, reflectors, windscreen, exterior parts, vehicle structure, chassis and engine. The inspection checks that the vehicle meets the minimum safe standard for normal road use and does not include non-essential systems such as air conditioning or cosmetic condition. If the vehicle fails, a rejection report is issued and failed items must be fixed or replaced within seven days before re-inspection. An RWC remains valid for 30 days from the issuing date.
