A one day workshop exploring the risks of aggression in the context of mental illness, with skills and strategies for assessing, reducing and responding to risk using person-centred practice. Covers risk and aggression in mental health contexts, anticipating and reducing aggression, responding to aggression and violent behaviour, debriefing, and worker self-care. Participants receive a workbook and information kit. Prerequisite: basic knowledge of mental illness, gained through experience or the Mental Health Focus Foundation workshop or similar training.
