Details.

Consular documentation service for repatriating the remains of deceased Eritreans to Eritrea. Required documents include the death certificate, legalisation by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, a medical certificate confirming the remains are free from communicable disease, a certificate of embalmment, coroner's permission where required, and the deceased's passport or travel document and Eritrean National ID card where available. The Embassy is not involved in travel arrangements, which are handled by funeral directors.
