Details.
Ultrasound scans performed at key stages of pregnancy to check your baby's development and wellbeing. Depending on your stage of pregnancy and referral, scans may include early dating, nuchal translucency or first-trimester screening, second-trimester morphology, and third-trimester growth and wellbeing checks. Preparation varies, and some scans require a full bladder. Bring your referral and any previous scans. A sonographer applies gel to the skin and uses a handheld probe to capture images. Images and the report are sent to your referring practitioner.
