Custom-made porcelain or zirconia restorations for decay extending across several tooth surfaces. The onlay covers most of the tooth surface while preserving more original tooth structure than a full crown. The first visit includes decay treatment, tooth preparation, 3D scanning, and placement of a temporary filling. At the second visit, the custom onlay is inserted. Onlays are stronger than composite fillings and can restore larger amounts of decayed tooth structure.
