Polyp Removal

at Dr Rachael Knight · Melbourne

Details.

A minimally invasive procedure targeting uterine polyps that may cause irregular bleeding or affect fertility. Usually performed with a hysteroscope, with local anaesthesia, sedation or general anaesthesia depending on comfort and procedure complexity. Specialised tools remove the polyps, and the base may be cauterised to help prevent regrowth. Mild cramping or spotting is normal and typically resolves within a day or two. Post-operative review is typically 7 to 10 days after the procedure.
