An injectable skin revitalisation treatment using purified polynucleotides, administered into the superficial layer of the skin with a fine needle or cannula. It may treat dull or coarse skin, wrinkles, uneven pigmentation, redness, dark circles, acne and surgical scarring, stretch marks and hair loss, and can be used on the face, hands, neck, chest, arms and knees. A topical anaesthetic cream can be used. A course of three or four treatments, three weeks apart, is recommended for optimum results. Improvement may be noted from about three weeks and continue over twelve weeks. A review is recommended at three weeks. Bruising and swelling may occur, visible bumps may last 12 to 24 hours, pin prick marks or scabs may take five days to resolve, and bruising can take up to two weeks to settle. Drink plenty of water during the first 24 hours after treatment.
