A painless, non-invasive examination of the mouth's soft tissues using a cordless device and blue light to identify abnormal, pre-cancerous, or cancerous cells. The screening examines the tongue, lips, tonsils, lining of the cheeks, and the roof and floor of the mouth. Protective glasses are provided, and the test usually takes about two minutes or less. If questionable tissues are found, a biopsy or brush test may be ordered. No downtime is required, and additional screenings are recommended at each dental examination or at least once per year.
