Onyfix Nail Correction

at Canberra Ingrown Toenail Clinic · Canberra

Details.

A podiatrist applies an individualised composite nail brace to reshape ingrown or involuted toenails and support natural nail growth. The process includes filing the nail, applying and curing a primer with an LED light for 30 seconds, applying the Onyfix composite and curing it for 60 seconds. The composite generally remains on the nail for 2 to 3 months, with further applications sometimes required. Treatment can take up to 12 months. Follow-up is generally at 6 weeks, 12 weeks and then every three months until the nail curvature has been adequately reduced. All nail polish, shellac and artificial nails must be removed before treatment. The treatment is described as pain-free, with no downtime, and is suitable for patients including diabetics and pregnant or breastfeeding women.
