Funded by the New York City Department of Education, this early childhood education program provides 6 hours and 20 minutes of class hours every school day for three and four-year-old children. Activities include play, exploration, experimentation, and learning experiences supporting cognitive, social-emotional, physical, aesthetic, social, intellectual, and linguistic development. The program prepares children for kindergarten and accommodates each child's developmental level, personal characteristics, and family and cultural background.
