Details.
An early pregnancy ultrasound that assesses nuchal translucency to screen for Down syndrome and other chromosome abnormalities. It is usually performed with a blood test, either a Non Invasive Prenatal Test or Maternal Serum Screening. Performed between 12 weeks and 5 days and 13 weeks and 6 days. The scan provides an early detailed assessment of fetal anatomy, and some major structural abnormalities may be detected.
