A free NHS telephone service available 24 hours a day, every day, for urgent medical needs that are not life-threatening. Advisers can provide self-care guidance, direct patients to a pharmacy, GP appointment, Enhanced Access Hub, NHS walk-in centre or A&E, and arrange an ambulance when needed. Clinical staff include GPs, nurses, pharmacists, mental health nurses and dental nurses.
