Details.
Low-dose CT chest screening for eligible people aged 50 to 70 who are asymptomatic, currently smoke or quit within the past 10 years, and have a smoking history of at least 30 pack-years. A GP must assess eligibility and provide a referral. The scan usually does not require contrast, is painless and typically takes less than a minute, with the overall appointment taking approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Usually no special preparation is required, and patients can generally eat, drink and take usual medications as normal. Results are sent to the GP and the National Lung Cancer Screening Program. Available at Dandenong CBD and other Marina Radiology locations.
