The service includes referral review, collection of pacemaker and lead information, compatibility assessment, consultant cardiologist appraisal, device adjustment before scanning, monitoring throughout the scan, restoration of normal device function afterwards, and reporting of results to the referring clinician within 48 hours. Suitable for patients referred by a clinician who may require an MRI scan of any body part, subject to assessment of device compatibility and safety.
