Details.

A surgical procedure using small punctures, usually less than 1/8 inch in diameter, to erase and smooth foot deformities with specially designed instruments. The technique is described as using no stitches, pins, or hardware. It may be recommended for bunions, hammertoes, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, foot or ankle fractures, ankle instability, sports injuries, arthritis, and certain conditions not visible on digital imaging. Incision sites usually begin closing within two weeks, while swelling is greatest during the first six weeks and gradually decreases.
