Mepolizumab is administered as a subcutaneous injection for chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis, severe asthma, and eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis. Injections may be self-administered or given by a nurse or GP. It is typically given once every 4 weeks, although the dosage and frequency may be altered by a doctor depending on response and tolerability. Patients should attend scheduled follow-up appointments and discuss medications, pregnancy, breastfeeding, allergies, and parasitic infections with their healthcare provider.
