Details.
Mepolizumab is administered as a subcutaneous injection for chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis, severe asthma or eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis. Injections can be self-administered or given by a nurse or GP. It is typically administered once every 4 weeks, although the dosage and frequency may be altered by a doctor based on response and tolerability. Follow-up appointments are required to monitor treatment response and potential side effects.
