A professional acupuncture treatment involving an initial discussion of your symptoms, lifestyle and medical history, followed by an explanation of the proposed treatment. Fine, pre-sterilised medical needles are inserted into acupuncture points selected for your symptoms, with treatment tailored to the individual. Suitable for some pain-related conditions, including migraines, tension headaches, dental pain, post-operative pain, back pain and neck pain. A course of 5 to 8 sessions may provide improved results compared with a single session. Aftercare advice is provided, including resting and drinking water. Medical history and symptoms are assessed beforehand, as the treatment may not be suitable for people with an untreated skin infection or a bleeding disorder such as haemophilia.
