Details.
Lower eyelid surgery treats under-eye bags, drooping lower eyelids, excess skin, fine wrinkles and circles under the eyes. It can be performed on adult men and women. Depending on the amount and location of fat and the desired eyelid tightness, approaches include transconjunctival surgery, transcutaneous surgery and transconjunctival arcus marginalis release. The procedure is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under local anaesthesia with sedation, or general anaesthesia for anxious patients. Recovery may include swelling, bruising and temporary visual changes. Avoid strenuous activity for at least two weeks, and contact lenses and eyelid make-up for two weeks after surgery.
