The Bibliothèque Mazarine lends works and books from its collections for temporary exhibitions in France or abroad. Loans are generally available to libraries, museums, archive services and cultural institutions with trained staff and suitable facilities. The service includes requirements for security, insurance, climate control, handling, couriering and transport, a loan agreement, and condition reporting at dispatch, unpacking, installation, removal and return. Loan requests must include an exhibition project presentation and synopsis, a Facilities Report, the list of requested loans, and details of the catalogue and accompanying publications. Loans are normally granted for a maximum of 3 months, subject to conservation restrictions.
