Professional inspection and compliance audit of installed lightning protection systems in accordance with the inspection and maintenance principles of AS 1768:2021. Suitable for high-rise commercial buildings, industrial facilities, complex facilities and critical infrastructure. Includes inspection of accessible air terminals and lightning rods, roof and down conductors, bonding of roof structures and metallic services, lightning test points, earth pits and earthing connections. Resistance measurements are taken between system components and a known reference earth, typically the nearest switchboard earth, and recorded in a detailed report with an asset register, identified defects or deterioration, bonding and system condition observations, photographic documentation and recommended corrective actions. Inspections are limited to safe access areas and do not include abseiling or external façade access. This service audits the installed system condition and does not verify the lightning protection design or provide engineering verification.
